More 100th Day Fun!

I've found some math games online that will help your child learn and practice numbers up to 100.  Check out the links below, then leave a comment about which was your child's favorite!

This site has a 100 board that is missing some numbers.  The children have to count along, then fill in what is missing.

This site has a 100 board on which you can highlight numbers.  The adult can call out numbers for the child to find on the 100 board.  You can use different colors for different numbers.

A few numbers "fall" off the 100 board, and the child is guided to put them back in the correct places.

This one is a bit tricky.  A blank 100 board is shown.  The adult calls out a number 1-100, and the child tries to click on that square to find it.  This helps children figure out the patterns on a 100 board.

Preparing for the 100th Day

We have been working on counting as we get closer and closer to the 100th day (coming up on Monday, February 8th).  The children are learning to count to 100 by 1's, 5's, and 10's.  During our math time, we sing some fun songs to help us practice our counting by 5's and 10's, but I also found a few youtube videos that I thought the kids might enjoy watching (and would give them some great counting practice).  Enjoy these videos with your child!

*A classic from Schoolhouse Rock!  This one gets into multiplication a little bit, but the children could chime in on the counting parts!

January Pictures

I was looking back at last year's posts and realized that I slowed down my posting last January, and I guess I fell into the same slump this year!  It must be the cold weather and short weeks!  So, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.  Here are some highlights from this quick month:
