Family Picnic Pictures

Here are pictures from the family picnic earlier this month.  We got ready for the picnic by decorating visors, and we were so happy that we had a sunny day to wear them!  We also sang songs about picnics, making up our own verses about what we would like to bring.  Overall it was a fun day and a great way to kick off Spring Break!

I tried to get pictures of everyone, but I missed a few families.  I hope you all had a great day!  What a wonderful PK tradition!

Z to A Countdown

We will have special dress-up days to celebrate the last 26 days of school.  There have been some changes made to the original schedule sent home.  Changes are listed in red.  The entire schedule is:

Monday, May 18	N	Wear the color “negro” – Spanish for black
Tuesday, May 19	M	Wear mustaches or make-up.  You can also wear clothing with monkeys on it, which might be more age-appropriate for kindergarten.

Friday, June 5	A	We are changing this to saying "Aloha" and wearing Hawaiian print clothing.

Rain, Rain, Go Away . . .

In case of rain tomorrow, we will have our family picnic inside our classroom.  If it's light rain, some families may be able to spread out along the covered sidewalk out front or on the back porch.  We'll squeeze everyone else inside -- either at tables or on blankets on the floor.  

The kids have decorated some cute sun visors, so let's keep our fingers crossed that we'll need them!  I'm hoping our rain pictures on the April calendars didn't jinx us!
