January Scholastic Book Orders

The January Scholastic book club order forms will go home in Friday folders. There are the two normal order forms (Firefly and SeeSaw), as well as a special “Voices” order form that features books celebrating African American literature, history, and life, which is issued for Black History Month in February.

All orders are due by Tuesday, January 20th.

There are two ways to order:
1. Send in cash or check made out to Scholastic with your paper order.
User Name = Krank   Password = books

There are so many great books for sale this month that I had a hard time just picking a few recommendations. Here's some of my top picks and why I selected them:

SeeSaw:
Kiss Me, I'm Perfect by Robert Munsch -- $1.00 (Great book from a funny author)
The Three Snow Bears by Jan Brett -- $4.00 (Perfect since we are studying her work)

Firefly:
Martin's Big Words -- $4.00 (A beautifully illustrated book about Martin Luther King, Jr.)
Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett -- $4.00 (Another perfect pick!)
What a Wonderful World -- $3.00 (A beautiful song book)

Voices:
Yo! Yes? by Chris Raschka -- $4.00 (Caldecott winner about friendship)
Just the Two of Us by Will Smith -- $3.00 (Beautifully illustrated song book)
Polar Animals -- $3.00 (Perfect for our current science unit)
