Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

On Monday, we celebrated Dr. Seuss' 105th birthday!  We have been reading lots of his books and doing lots of rhyming activities.  

On Monday morning, the kids went to 3 different "Cat in the Hat" stations.  At one station, they made red and white striped hats.  At the next station, the kids painted and put together a cat face.  At the the last station, they worked with me to make a page in a class book based on The Cat in the Hat

After specials, we read Green Eggs and Ham and cooked our own green eggs.  The kids tasted the eggs at lunch, then we graphed whether or not we liked them.  We even listened to a fun "Green Eggs" song from the Broadway musical "Seussical."

Also, Buchholz High School Drama is presenting "Seussical the Musical."  Show times are Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 7pm, and Sunday at 2pm.
