- Your child needs to wear cool clothing and sneakers. There are often ants and other insects around fruit bushes, so open-toed shoes won't work.
- If you would like for your child to wear sunscreen (highly recommended), please put it on before coming to school. Your child is welcome to bring a hat or visor to wear on the trip as well.
- Your child needs to bring a bag lunch to eat. We will be having a picnic lunch while at the berry farm. Please label your child's lunch with his/her name.
- We will bring our water bottles to drink while on the trip. Many children finished their water on Friday, so please check to make sure your child re-fills his/her bottle, or send in a new one on Tuesday.
- The children will bring home the blueberries they pick. Don't expect a lot, though -- the kids like to eat more than they collect!

Blueberry-Picking Trip
We are very excited for our blueberry-picking trip on Tuesday. I can actually see some sun outside as I write this, so I'm very hopeful that we won't get rained out! Our trip is to Southland Berry Plantation in Earleton. We will load the bus at 8:30 and return to PK at 12:00. Here are some tips to make sure the trip goes smoothly:
